Ms Carmen Moroney

​

Carmen is a kidney nurse with over 20 years of experience, providing education to people with stage 4 and stage 5 chronic kidney disease. She explains the different types of dialysis options and what kidney supportive care is by providing clear easy-to-understand information, helping people make informed health decisions.

​

She has worked at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Haemodialysis, Kidney Transplant, and Peritoneal Dialysis. For 14 years, Carmen has taught and cared for patients on Peritoneal Dialysis. Currently she works for the Sydney Local Health District helping improve identifying people with chronic kidney disease in hospital.

She completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Sydney University in 2002 and a Postgraduate Certificate in Renal Nursing at Liverpool Hospital in 2005. She is an active member of the Renal Society of Australasia.
